Brook Street is currently looking for a Higher Executive to join the team at the Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA), a pivotal organisation in ensuring the safety and integrity of certified products and transportation of dangerous goods. This a temporary, full-time position.

About the Role:

As a Higher Executive at the VCA, you will play a critical role in the certification process, meticulously reviewing applications for certificates to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols. Your responsibilities will include assessing applications, scrutinising product specifications and transport containers, and meticulously verifying compliance with established processes. Additionally, you will be responsible for interpreting complex data, reporting findings, and providing valuable insights to support decision-making processes. While prior knowledge of regulations is advantageous, it is not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly review applications for certification, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and safety protocols.
• Meticulously examine product specifications and transport containers to verify compliance with established processes.
• Interpret and analyse complex data sets to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
• Provide detailed reports and insights to support decision-making processes and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and maintain the highest standards of quality assurance.

About You:

• Exceptional attention to detail with a keen eye for identifying discrepancies and ensuring accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work through complex issues methodically and logically.
• Excellent organisational abilities, with a systematic approach to managing tasks and prioritising workload effectively.
• Proficient in data interpretation and reporting, with the ability to communicate findings clearly and concisely.
• Highly adaptable and resilient, with the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Knowledge about regulations would be advantageous but not necessary
• Able to work with data bases

Job details:

Pay rate: 13.39 p/h, after 12 working weeks 18.49 p/h

Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week

Temporary assignment until October, with the possibility of extension

Location: Wesley House, Bull Hill, Leatherhead, KT22 7AH

*The offered candidate will be subject to 3 years activity check and a basic DBS
