FPGA Design Engineer

Full Job Description

Carbon60 are currently recruiting for an experienced FPGA Design Engineer to join the UK's leading defence manufacturer on a 12 month contract basis to support the development of large range of products covering signal processing, core embedded processing systems and security critical systems.

This position would ideally be based within travel range of Stevenage on a hybrid basis however this contract position can also be done from either the businesses Bristol or Bolton site with occasional tracel to Stevenage.

This FPGA Design Engineer will get involved with all phases of the FPGA Design and verification.

Responsibilities:

Generating complex FPGA architectures and design implementations (VHDL, Simulink etc), targeting Xilinx, Intel, Microsemi devices.
Verifying complex FPGA implementations using VHDL and System VerilogUVM test-bench methodologies.
Using FPGA design tool-sets and Mentor verification tools (QuestaSim & ModelSim).
Generating low-level software (C) to facilitate FPGA test and integration with the wider embedded system.
Configuring and Documenting designs to a high professional standard.Experience Required:

Previous experience with FPGA is essential for this role.
Knowledge of VHDL language and design methods
Confident using VHDL and Systems Verilog methodologies.
Experience of Xilnex, Intel or Micro semi FPGA.
Ability to document and configure designs.
Ability to work within a team of multi-skilled engineers.All candidates will need to be a sole british passport holder to apply for this role.

All candidates must be either SC (Security Clearance) cleared or be able to pass a SC Clearance.
