You will like

The Fabric Technician/HandyPerson/MultiTrader job itself where you will perform general preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, equipment and grounds. Using multi-trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling. More specifically:

• Respond to client requests by executing the reactive tasks via Engineering Service Requests in line with KPI’s.
• Complete Planned Preventative maintenance ensuring that KPI’s are met in line with client requirements.
• Must be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of all systems within the building services environment.
• A strong comprehension of compliance with government legislation
• Provide effective feedback to the Engineering Managers to ensure that Managers are aware of any Facilities/System/Equipment/Site Engineering abnormalities.
• Perform any reasonable task as required by their Supervisor / Manager
• Follow all Health & Safety and Environmental requirements that are defined on work instructions or communicated in training.
• Follow required emergency procedures as documented and to respond accordingly during emergency situations.
• Report all accidents, occupational illnesses, and emergencies.
• To take responsibility for defects and follow up on any repairs.
• To be self-motivated and proactively seek out work.
• Host & induct specialist sub-contractors, and ensure they conform to site requirements.

You will have

To be successful as Fabric Technician, you will be an experienced facilities/maintenance professional with a healthy mix of the following:

• Full industry recognised qualification to NVQ Level 3, or equivalent.
• Experience completing Planned and Preventive Maintenance tasks.
• Full Clean UK Driving Licence.
• Have a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
• Ability to work on own or as part of a team.
• Great attention to detail.
• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools
• Comfortable using step ladders and access platforms.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
