Farming Operative, Wareham, up to £26000 per annum
We are recruiting on behalf of our client in Dorset, who is looking to employ an experienced farmer. This is an exciting role with the opportunity to learn the ropes and settle in over the summer with lots of progression opportunities within the year.
You will be a key member of the team, playing a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of produce and customer service as well as upholding the company values every day.
As Farming Operative you’ll benefit from:

The successful Farming Operative applicant would be assisting with the day-to-day duties, so they will need:
- Previous experience in a similar role (essential)
- Previous Managerial experience (ideally)
- Have a full UK driving license (essential)
- have a full understanding of agricultural ISO standards
- Have a tractor or counterbalance forklift licence
- Be comfortable working outside, come rain or shine
- Have a keen awareness for health and safety
Schedule:
Day shift hours – Monday-Thursday 7am-3pm, with an early finish on a Friday.
You’ll be required to work a few hours on a Sunday morning during harvesting.
As a Farming Operative your responsibilities will include:
- use of harvesting and planting equipment
- Maintaining grounds
- Weeding, mowing and trimming the grass areas
- General maintenance and painting
- Driving the company van
This role will involve standing for long periods of time and will involve manual handling.
