As the geopolitical and business environments blur, Gatehouse works with a variety of private and public sector clients, helping them better understand how geopolitical trends and events will shape their agendas and impact their bottom lines. Gatehouse is deliberately boutique in our approach, with the core of the geopolitical advisory team working from our London office. Deep in-house strategic experience is complemented by the perspectives of a network of over 3,500+ issue and market experts based around the world to give the business a truly global scope. 


Role Description


Gatehouse runs biannual three-month fellowship schemes for recent graduates and early career professionals. A fellowship is a great opportunity for those interested in geopolitical consulting to learn the ropes of the industry and the fundamentals of the core Gatehouse business. Fellows are able to expand their geopolitical knowledge and refine their analytical skillset, with the support and guidance of senior Gatehouse team members. 


Key Skills & Experience


  • Early career professionals with up to 2 years of relevant work experience 

  • A graduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant field

  • Demonstrable interest (through academic or professional pursuits) in geopolitics and business

  • Ability to independently conduct high-quality preliminary research and analysis

  • Ability to produce clear and concise written outputs under tight deadlines

  • An eye for detail and strong work ethic

  • An entrepreneurial attitude and proactively takes on the challenge of unfamiliar tasks

  • Enjoys working as part of a team

  • Willingness to learn and take feedback onboard


Gatehouse Offering


Fellows benefit from the opportunity to work across a variety of client and project teams to get a taste of the breadth of the Gatehouse offering. They are supported by an induction programme and a range of on-the-job training. Your assigned buddy and mentor will support and guide you throughout the fellowship and help you to define your professional and development goals (at Gatehouse or beyond).

Timing: Three-month engagement, September-December
