Full Job Description

Are you a Field Service Engineer based in North of England or Scotland looking for an exciting new role?

Operating globally, with a HQ in Surrey, my client develop temperature, pressure and flow instrumentation and measurement equipment for a variety of industries including Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Petro-chemical, Marine applications and Defence.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for undertaking the installation, commissioning, servicing, calibration, fault finding and repairing or replacement of components and equipment on all contracts and specialist projects. You will carry out routine maintenance of equipment and systems using specialist test equipment.

For this position, you will be based in Scotland, covering from Carlisle to Glasgow, or based in the North of the UK, covering from South Yorkshire to the Scottish border. Overnight stays will be required.

Key skills and experience required for Field Service Engineer:

  • Proven experience within Service Engineering role as well as worked within factory environment
  • Relevant industry experience in a highly pressurised, intrinsically safe, hazardous environment i.E. Instrumentation, process control, automation, oil & gas, petro-chemical, nuclear etc.
  • Strong Electrical and Mechanical experience
  • Plant maintenance/fault finding experience
  • Ideally qualified in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline
  • Currently holds or able to obtain SC clearance.
