Operations Finance Business Partner/Accountant Role

Based in Alfreton, offering hybrid working, an attractive salary and leading benefits


I'm delighted to be partnered with a leading specialist manufacturer, a listed company with turnover in the region of £400m.

The company are going from strength to strength and have diversified their product offering in recent years to provide a market-leading product and service offering to their diverse customer base. As a result of continued growth and internal promotion, I am recruiting for a qualified Accountant to join the expanding operational finance team.

This role will work alongside a dedicated and talented finance team, responsible for all aspects of financial and management reporting for the Group's Operations, encompassing 3 key aresa of the business including manufacturing and supply-chain functions.

Your role:

  • Act as a strategic business partner to the Site Leadership Team
  • Undertake financial appraisals and subsequent cost tracking of strategic initiatives
  • Perform variance analysis for P&L line items, including raw materials, other manufacturing costs and overheads
  • Provide valuable insight into manufacturing efficiencies, production yield and overhead cost absorption
  • Preparation of operational dashboards (KPIs) & commentary for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to interpret results for key leadership teams
  • Tracking of Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • CAPEX reporting and Monthly forecasting

About you

  • Qualified accountant (essential - ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment (essential)
  • SAP system experience would be beneficial
  • Full UK driver's license required as some occasional travel will be required as part of the role
