Full Job Description


3Keel are looking to find an experienced finance leader who will work as part of the Senior Leadership Team and member of the Board, to help 3Keel set and implement a growth strategy as we approach our next phase of development.


You will be responsible for:

  • Crafting and executing a comprehensive financial strategy that addresses the immediate financial needs and  also aligns with the company's long-term growth and sustainability objectives. 
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, UK accounting standards, and best practices, while preparing the firm for external financial audits.
  • Leading the development and implementation of robust FP&A processes, providing accurate and actionable financial insights. 
  • Driving innovative financial strategies that optimise the company's financial operations by enhancing cash flow management, reducing financial risk, and increasing overall profitability.
  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll, taking a hands-on approach when necessary to address critical issues.
  • Work in close collaboration with the board of directors to ensure financial plans and strategies align seamlessly with the company's strategic business, ESG and CSR goals. 
  • Drive and participate in strategic financial projects that support the company's growth and sustainability, including mergers, acquisitions, potential carve outs., investment analysis, and capital expenditure planning. 


Essential Skills and experience:

  • Experience in a senior finance role - gained in a growing professional services firm with a thorough understanding of the unique challenges this provides.
  • Experience of Financial Reporting and Compliance.
  • Proven track record in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) including budgeting and forecasting. 
  • Built and/or managed a high performing finance team.
  • Demonstrated expertise in optimising working capital cycles, effectively managing cash flow, and improving financial liquidity. 
  • Experienced in proposing and implementing actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
