This permanent job is with the parent company of a large organisation who have an opportunity for a Finance Manger to head up a team of two and to be responsible for the preparation and delivery of the Accounts, Budgets and Forecasts that need to be prepared for Board level reporting packs and other organisation stakeholders. You will report to the Group Finance Director.

This is an important position in the wider Finance team, that will require a diligent eye and a methodical approach to re-organising the existing accounts and reporting and to make improvements and fix anomalies.

The post would suit either Private or Public sector Finance experience, and if you have worked with charity or community service-based services that require Government reporting this would be advantageous.

As a Finance Manager here, you will be office based 5 days a week to allow for collaboration and communication with your immediate and wider group colleagues.

Your responsibility of divisional Finance Manager here will include:

• Manage general ledger and monthly management accounts
• Preparation of Actual V Budget
• Forecasting
• Manage the debt recovery
• Accurate posting of journals.
• Manage month end / year end so Audit ready
• Reporting
• Assist the Group FD
• Maintain management accounting processes
• Ensure income is tracked / Cash-flow and P&L
• Monitor a team of two and working practises

Essential skills and experience please:

• Qualified Accountant
• Understanding of FRS102 and UK GAAP
• Advanced experience in Excel
• Excellent numerical, written and communication skills.
• Detailed data analysis
• Previous line management experience
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to travel to and work in Watford daily
