Full Job Description
I am working with a council in the Southwest who are looking for a Finance Officer (Projects) to support project work that has come about with recent funding.
Initially 6 months (with possibility of extending, depending on funding), supporting tasks including:
- Supporting with the improvement of project processes, standardising and embedding
- Reviewing the Councils Constitution and Finance Manual policies, processes and procedures and supporting to update them
- Supporting with the capital bids process (MTFS) up to budget setting.
- Supporting the Capital team in documenting processes and testing them
Capital experience is not essential, neither is public sector experience (is preferred). This could be the start of a fruitful career in Capital contracting.
170-200/day.
Will require one day a week in the office (flexible).
