Financial Accountant - 12-15 month fixed term

SF Recruitment are pleased to be working in exclusive partnership with a leading global manufacturer with sites across the country and worldwide, headquartered in South Derbyshire.

About the role

Due to the closure of another site in the UK, my client are looking to bring in a strong financial accountant to completement a dedicated close-down team for a period of approximately 14-18 months (dependant on start date). There will be the opportunity to get involved with wider projects within the organisation where workload allows.

Overall responsibilities include:
1. Divisional Trial Balance for BW 558, Inc Taiwan branch
2. Oversee A/P, A/R and General Ledger processing with 3rd Party providers
3. Support Month/Quarter/Year end accounts
4. Balance Sheet assurance and Audit support

Detail tasks inlcude:
1. Period end journal adjustments, review and reporting
2. Provide information for VAT returns
3. Prepare or review Balance Sheet reconciliations, including intercompany balances
4. Calculation of Warranty Provisions
5. Customer advances and retention payments
6. Calculation of bad debt provisions and regular review of outstanding debts.
7. Review accounting information received for Taiwan branch

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will benefit from a handover with the existing incumbent and be supported by the Financial Controller and dedicated Project Accountant/Analyst.
