Financial Analyst – Financial Planning & Analysis | S2| CFO | Milton Keynes

We are looking for an highly analytical Finance Analyst to support across multiple functions (including risk, business units as well as other Finance functions).

As the Finance Analyst you’ll be seen as the primary contact within the Finance Team for the products they look after and will be seen as leading Finances interaction with key stakeholders that they are aligned to.

Reporting to Finance Manager, you’ll work with the business units to help shape the financial direction of Santander and ensure that shareholder value is maximised. You’ll be responsible for a specific products and customer segments within the overall Santander UK balance sheet of c£280bn with RWA’s of c£70bn.

The difference you’ll make:

  • Providing technical support and assistance, responding to all stakeholder queries using established processes and procedures, escalating more complex queries
  • Delivering small-scale projects or well defined tasks on larger projects to improve support to the business.
  • Establishing relationships with stakeholders to identify business requirements and provide appropriate support
  • Having a detailed knowledge of price sensitivity, value for money and demand curves
  • Preparationchallenge the Financial business plans, as well as preparing responses to the numerous ad hoc FCA/CMA  requests.
  • Producing key reports for Stakeholders explaining business performance and emerging trends
  • Evaluating the financial impact of key pricing proposals and subsequent monitoring

What you’ll bring:

  • CIMA ACCA part qualified or other relevant professional qualification
  • Highly numerate with proven analytical experience

It would also be nice for you to have:

  • Experience of developing and maintaining effective relationships within and outside Finance through personal credibility and delivery of results
  • Sound financial services/broad business knowledge
  • Ability to interpret and evaluate financial information and make authoritative recommendations
  • Excellent communication, influencing and relationship building skills

This role is based in Milton Keynes and our current expectation is at least 2 days in an office every week.
