Full Job Description

As a Fire Door Carpenter specializing in remedials and installations, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the fire safety measures of commercial and residential buildings across the Norwich area. You will be responsible for executing remedial work on existing fire doors, as well as installing new fire doors in accordance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Remedial Work:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of existing fire doors to identify and address issues.
  • Execute remedial carpentry work to ensure fire doors meet safety standards and regulations.
  • Replace or repair components such as frames, hinges, seals, and door closers as necessary.
  • Installation:
  • Install new fire doors in accordance with blueprints, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure precise fitting and alignment of doors, frames, and hardware.
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals to integrate fire doors seamlessly into building structures.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance:
  • Maintain a deep understanding of relevant building codes, fire safety regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Conduct quality checks to guarantee the durability and effectiveness of installed or remediated fire doors.
  • Keep accurate records of work completed, materials used, and compliance documentation.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other team members.
  • Provide guidance and advice on fire door solutions, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to streamline processes and enhance overall project efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Fire Door Carpenter, with a focus on remedials and installations.
  • In-depth knowledge of fire door regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Carpentry qualifications or relevant certifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in carpentry work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: 38,000.00-42,000.00 per year
