Firefighter
Job Details
Full Job Description
Cornwall Airport Newquay Rescue and Firefighting Service are currently seeking a qualified, enthusiastic and experienced firefighter to join the team on a full-time basis.
Newquay is the Cornish seaside town that has ridden the
wave of change, transforming into the ‘Coast of Dreams’, becoming one
of the most highly sought-after coastal destinations in Europe.
Ever since its humble beginnings as a quaint Cornish fishing
town, Newquay has attracted tourists from far and wide for its
wide-ranging sea views and steep rolling cliffs, not to mention the
many beaches which turns it into Cornwall’s diamond in the crown
destination for a long part of its history. It makes the ideal place
to relocate.
With a population of around 30,000, nowhere else in
the UK, and potentially even Europe, can someone find as many activity
and leisure capable beaches per head of the population. The centre of
the town and surrounding areas shoulder the atmospheric coastline of
rolling cliffs onto soft beaches which, in total, add up to seven
separate sand beaches.
With the constant evolution of the
destination, Cornwall Airport Newquay has now become one of the UK’s
fastest growing airports in the UK with links to Ireland, Europe and
other UK destinations such as Glasgow, Manchester and London. In 2024
we are flying to seven international destinations. We are home to the
UK’s first and only licensed Spaceport, recently gaining global
attention with the take-off of Cosmic Girl, delivering the first
rocket to reach space from Western European soil. With ten airlines,
flying to 20 destinations – the sky is not the limit, it’s just the
beginning.
It really is no wonder that so many people
are looking to Newquay for summer holidays or to escape to the coast
to relocate, start a business, a family, or just activate their
lifestyle dreams in one of the most appealing areas in the
Southwest.
So, this really is a unique and exciting
opportunity to progress your career with us, here in Newquay, Cornwall
