Full Job Description

Primary responsibilities:

• cooking allergy friendly family meals (child has non-IgE allergies to dairy, soya, egg and gluten)
  
• Occasional batch cooking to stock freezer and meal planning
  
• Adding missing items to shopping list, and organise Ocado / do the grocery shopping 
  
• Laundry and ironing for the whole family
  
• Wardrobe management for child (helping us to keep track if any new clothes needed due to sizing or weather changes)
  
• Regular cleaning & tidying
  
• Cleaning/ disinfecting toys and play area
  
• feeding cat and cleaning cat litter
  
• Ad hoc errands outside the house (picking up order, dry cleaning etc)
  
• Ad hoc miscellaneous tasks (i.e. arranging/ letting in handyman/ window cleaners etc.)
  
• Help to ensure diaper bag is stocked up etc
  
• Taking garbage out regularly
  

Nannying/ other responsibilities:

• Ad hoc nannying 
  
• Occasional evening/  weekend   babysitting (paid on top if outside of regular hours)
  
• Taking child to activities/ playground/ member’s club
  
• Kindergarten drop-off/ -pick-up (from Sept 2024)
  
• Providing photo updates to parents when doing activities with the child
  
• Summary of the day at end of day/ handover 
  

Requirements:

• Strong communication skills
  
• Proactive attitude/ sees what needs to get done
  
• Views herself as extension of the family/ takes ownership 
  
• Language skills: Strong English. Desired, but not essential: German or Dutch mother tongue. (The candidate should be aware that we parents will continue speaking our mother tongues to our child)
  
• Driving license
  
• Willingness to travel and live-in during travel (in particular during summer months when family spends considerable amount of time in their 2nd home in Belgium)
