Machine Operatives and Production Operatives required at Kinnerton Confectionery Food Factory in Sherburn-in-Elmet

Shift Pattern:

 

12-hour days and nights. You MUST be able to work both. All shifts include x1 30-minute breaks and x2 15-minute breaks.

 

Week 1: Sunday to Tuesday 18:00 - 06:00 (3 nights followed by 5 days off)

Week 2: Monday to Tuesday 06:00 - 18:00 & Wednesday to Thursday 18:00 - 06:00 (2 days followed by 2 nights followed by 5 days off)

Week 3: Wednesday to Friday 06:00 - 18:00 (followed by 1 day off, then start again on week 1)

 

Pay (increase with skilled gained)

Grade 1 Pay Rate: £11.42 (Entry pay)

Grade 2 Pay Rate: £11.62

Grade 3 Pay Rate: £12.53

Responsibilities

Production Operatives at Kinnerton work with a variety of chocolate manufacturing/ factory machinery across various areas helping to bring our products to life! Types of technologies include – Egg / Ball Moulding, Coating / Polishing, Drop Moulding Buttons and Hard Panning. 

 

Machine Operatives at Kinnerton take over from production who make our chocolate products and start the process of packaging/packing. You will operate machinery such as ensure that the product is packed exactly how it should be to ensure the highest quality and food safety. You will also monitor your machinery and check for any issues and report breakdowns to our engineering team.  Manual handling is . 

 

Both roles involve manual handling/lifting such as picking, packing and other production duties. The role also requires strong communication skills. You must be willing to learn new skills and able to meet targets working towards daily production plans.  You will be supported by your

 

In the first few weeks, you will be trained in Level 2 Food Safety. 

Qualifications

Experience within a food (or similar) manufacturing plant will be beneficial, but we are keen to speak with all candidates interested in working at Kinnerton.
