Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forklift Field Service Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing on-site maintenance, repair, and support services for a variety of forklift models at our clients' locations. The role will involve troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, performing routine inspections, and conducting preventive maintenance to ensure the efficient operation of our clients' forklift fleets.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of forklifts at customer locations.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely manner.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to scheduled maintenance plans.
  • Complete service reports, maintenance logs, and other documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to understand their service needs and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of technical issues and effective coordination of service activities.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in forklift repair or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a forklift technician or field service engineer, with expertise in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot forklift issues.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed and work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings, to accommodate customer needs.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively.
