Forklift Driver - Shipping and Logistics
Location: Inverness, Scotland

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled Forklift Driver to join our clients team and contribute to the smooth operation of shipping and logistics operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in safely loading and unloading freight, organizing warehouse space, and supporting other logistics activities as needed. This is a temporary position with potential to become for the right person.

Key Responsibilities:
1.Forklift Operation: Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport freight within the warehouse and shipping yard.
2.Inventory Management: Assist with inventory control by accurately recording incoming and outgoing shipments and organizing warehouse space to optimize storage capacity.
3.Quality Assurance: Ensure that all freight is handled with care and attention to prevent damage during loading, unloading, and transportation.
4.Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
5.Team Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse staff, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate shipping and receiving activities and meet operational deadlines.
Requirements:
·Valid forklift operator certification.
·Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment.
·Strong attention to detail and a focus on safety.
·Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
·Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
