Foundry Technician (Sand)

Full Job Description

We are recruiting for a Foundry Technician (Sand) to join an established Manufacturing business based in the Dudley area. The Foundry Technician will be sand testing and gathering data on laboratory testing moulding of sand to provide quality assurance that the moulds will be produced to the required casting quality.

As the Foundry Technician you will be required too :

* Completing sand checks on both backing and facing sand

* Reviewing knockout temperatures on an hourly basis

* Assisting with core machine calibration of all core machines when required

* Monitoring material usage

* Assisting with the testing of metal and providing temperature recordings

Requirements:

* Foundry/knowledge is required

* Knowledge of production processes & foundry capabilities

* Excellent communication skills

* Able to work as part of a team

* Able to review data and analyse correlated data
