The Franchise Head Rare Disease is a key member of the Neuroscience & Rare Diseases team and reporting to the Business Unit Head, is accountable for:

  • Preparing the launches for the Rare Disease portfolio
  • Delivering revenue, profitability, market share and growth outcomes.
  • Setting a clear strategy for Sales and Marketing activities
  • Ensuring its flawless execution to drive achievements that are recognised, rewarded and celebrated.

As Franchise Head , spanning Sales and Marketing, you will:

Drive Results

  • Develop the strategy, positioning and strategic imperatives for the portfolio to achieve financial objectives and aligns company resources accordingly
  • Develop robust action plans, with clear leadership during implementation.
  • Implement, tracking of and delivery of Sales Targets, with an ambitious Sales Force mindset.

Launch Planning and Brand Leadership

  • Lead and execute all launch planning activities, as well as the annual operational plan for responsible assets.
  • Ensure appropriate budget allocation and accuracy of phasing to drive business within financial year, having a view of the wider portfolio and ensuring the right prioritisation across brands/indications.

Ensure High Value Customer Impact

  • Engage with customers directly and indirectly to benchmark Ipsen’s value versus key competitors.
  • In conjunction with the Business and Customer Excellence team, analyse KAM use of CRM and other quantity and quality tracking tools to ensure value adding customer facing interactions.
  • Use customer understanding in shaping Ipsen’s ability to support them with maximising value for their patients.

Proactive Horizontal Leadership and Alignment

  • Strong cross functional collaboration with local leadership team and ensure horizontal alignment between all field-based customer facing roles.
  • Seek input from others, creating the platforms and processes to enable open discussion and interaction.
  • Lead the relevant launch readiness and brand teams, ensuring alignment across all roles and delivery of KPIs.

Coaching and Development

  • Coach and in-call excellence; build a high-performing customer-facing team.
  • Early identification and addressing of capability gaps ensuring every individual has the opportunity for coaching and professional development.

In order to be considered for this role you will have an appropriate level of qualification, coupled with a proven track record of increasing responsibility in pharmaceutical sales and marketing. You have an extensive experience in launching, ideally in Rare Disease, demonstrating a value-add capability and mindset. You will be a strong and committed leader, both operationally and strategically, with exceptional communication and influencing skills.
