Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Tutor for a Freelance position with a leading provider that has helped thousands of unemployed individuals return to work. Our client are looking for an individual who can deliver at least one of the following vocations. Your role involves providing guidance, support, and practical training to help clients develop the skills necessary to secure employment and thrive in the workplace.

  • Level 1 - Construction and Health & Safety (2 to 3 weeks delivery)
  • Level 1 - Multi-skills covering Facilities, Warehousing, Manufacturing (2 week delivery)
  • Level 1 - Childcare or Early Years (5 week delivery, open to hybrid)
  • Level 2 - Lean Manufacturing (2 week delivery)

This will be a face to face pop up delivery role based in Manchester, any expenses to travel will be covered. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development : Create customized lesson plans and curriculum materials tailored to the specific needs and goals of individual clients or groups.

  • Skill Assessment : Conduct assessments to evaluate clients' existing skills, strengths, and areas needing improvement related to employability.

  • Training Delivery : Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions covering various topics such as resume writing, interview techniques, job search strategies, networking, communication skills, and workplace etiquette.

  • One-on-One Coaching : Provide personalized coaching and mentoring to clients, offering feedback, encouragement, and guidance to help them overcome obstacles and achieve their career objectives.

  • Resource Management : Compile and curate resources, including articles, videos, worksheets, and online tools, to supplement training sessions and support clients' ongoing learning and development.

  • Employer Engagement : Foster relationships with employers and industry professionals to stay informed about current hiring trends, job opportunities, and employer expectations, and to facilitate connections between clients and potential employers.

  • Feedback and Evaluation : Monitor clients' progress and performance, provide constructive feedback, and track outcomes to assess the effectiveness of training programs and identify areas for improvement.

  • Documentation and Reporting : Maintain accurate records of client interactions, assessments, and progress, and generate reports as needed to document outcomes and demonstrate program impact.

  • Professional Development : Stay updated on best practices, trends, and advancements in employability training and career development, and participate in relevant professional development activities to enhance your own skills and knowledge.

  • Networking and Marketing : Promote your services and expertise through networking, marketing, and outreach efforts to attract new clients and opportunities for collaboration with organizations, educational institutions, and community groups.

  Requirements: The ideal candidate for this role should have the following qualifications and experience:

  • A teaching qualification such as PTLLS, DTLLS, CTLLS, AET or equivalent
  • An Assessors Award such as A1, CAVA, or TAQA
  • Occupational experience working in Construction, Lean Manufacturing, Warehousing, Multi-skills, Childcare/Early Years
  • Experience delivering employability training as a tutor
  • A current, enhanced DBS check within the last 3 years or on the Update Service
  • Currently working as a Freelancer or Self-Employed with a UTR Number or Limited Company
  • A willingness to complete, or already hold, a certificate in safeguarding/prevent and equality
  • A willingness to undergo additional training to meet the requirements of the role, if necessary
