Freelance Technical Designer - Hospitality

An international design studio are seeking a talented and motivated Freelance Technical Designer to join their team within the hospitality sector. As a Technical Designer, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans using Vectorworks software. This position requires an immediate start until the end of August.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with clients and project teams to understand design requirements, specifications, and project objectives within the hospitality sector.
2. Develop comprehensive technical drawings and plans using Vectorworks software, ensuring accuracy, precision, and adherence to industry standards.
3. Create detailed floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction documentation to communicate design intent effectively.
4. Collaborate closely with architects, interior designers, and other stakeholders to ensure design integration and coordination.
5. Provide expert advice and recommendations on design feasibility, construction techniques, and material selections.
6. Conduct site visits to gather accurate measurements and assess project progress, as required.
7. Incorporate necessary revisions and modifications to design drawings based on client feedback and project updates.
8. Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards throughout the design process.
9. Maintain clear and organized documentation of design files, drawings, and project correspondence.
10. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to technical design in the hospitality sector.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Technical Designer, preferably within the hospitality sector.
2. Proficiency in Vectorworks software for creating detailed technical drawings and plans.
3. Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and industry standards related to hospitality design.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
5. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in creating technical drawings.
6. Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
7. Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and client expectations.
8. Availability for an immediate start and commitment until the end of August.

This role is outside IR35.
