Freight Forwarder – Air Freight

Heathrow, London

£30,000 - £35,000

4 on 4 off, 07:00 – 19:00

Join a dynamic team as an Air Freight Specialist, responsible for managing exports from start to finish within our AOG (Aircraft on Ground) team. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring seamless operations and timely deliveries.

The Candidate;

• Previous experience as a Freight Forwarder within the air freight
• Specific experience in AOG operations is preferred
• Proficiency in ICT skills, including Microsoft packages
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Approachable demeanour with a professional attitude
• Effective time-management skills
• Ability to adapt to changes and collaborate effectively within a team
• Enthusiastic and self-motivated

Duties and Responsibilities;

• Coordinate collections for dedicated movements
• Book shipments with airlines, ensuring efficiency and accuracy
• Keep customers informed about shipment details within designated KPIs
• Complete MAWB (Master Air Waybill) and customs documentation
• Pre-alert customers and our network to facilitate smooth operations
• Handle arrangements for Air Import shipments, with knowledge of customs processes being advantageous
• Manage operational finance tasks such as costing and invoicing
• Provide support to export operations, contributing to overall team success
• Maintain flexibility and adaptability, crucial for handling dynamic situations
• Ensure clear handover to the following shift for continuity of operations
