Funds 2-4, US Firm, London

We’re working with the London office of a US firm which is actively looking to add an Associate to their highly regarded Funds practice at the 2-4 PQE level.

The team assists a broad range of clients with fund formation, including international private equity and other private investment funds and their sponsors, including buyout, infrastructure, energy, credit, real estate, secondaries and venture funds, as well as funds of funds.

This very highly ranked team has an unrivalled understanding of the private fund industry. With a global regulatory network and deep international experience, the practice counsels across the entire life cycle of these complex products and vehicles – covering organisation and economic arrangements for sponsors, fund formation, downstream transactions, exits, firm and fund restructurings, buy-side work, secondaries and wind downs. The practice is on top of all aspects of the marketplace and responds quickly to, and even anticipates changes in, the market, offering clients a significant competitive advantage. The team is now looking for an additional mid-level Associate.

To be considered for a role in this prestigious team, you will probably have:

· training and 2-4 years’ relevant post-qualification experience gained from within the funds team of a Magic Circle, Silver Circle, international or peer US firm;

· a high degree of sector knowledge and commercial awareness;

· excellent verbal and written communication and drafting skills;

· a self-confident, proactive, pragmatic approach to tasks and projects;

· enthusiasm, motivation and commitment to building and maintaining strong internal and external (including client) relationships; and

· the ability to work well in both a team and individually, and to interact/build relationships with people at all levels.

The firm pays top NY rates for Associates, and offers flexible, hybrid working. London City training and experience preferred for this position, but solicitors from other backgrounds with appropriate experience will also be considered.
