Urenco; trusted, long-term supplier to the nuclear industry,
specialising in safe, cost effective and reliable uranium enrichment
services, are looking for a GIS Technical Lead on a contract basis
(inside IR35), to be based in Capenhurst near Chester.
Rate:
£40-50 Umbrella (Inside IR35)
Job Specification
The
role GIS Technical Lead is a temporary role based at our Capenhurst
site. Urenco currently uses GIS to support a number of sitewide
functions (e.g. Site Planning, Estates Management, Environmental
Compliance etc) and are looking to transition the current ‘Desktop’
deployment to an ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise platform. The GIS Technical
Lead will support the transition from ArcGIS Desktop to ArcGIS
Enterprise.
Responsibilities
• ArcGIS Enterprise
administration
• SDE database design and administration
• Development the principles, procedures and standards for the
continued implementation and maintenance of an Enterprise GIS
• Manages a centralised multi-user Geodatabase, including the
management of systems, licenses, and configuration, using current ESRI
GIS mapping software
• Collect, store, analyse and present
geographical and spatial information
Skills
•
Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Natural Resources, Computer Science or
GIS related field
• 3+ years working with ESRI GIS systems
Knowledge % Experience
• Working knowledge of basic
mapping and cartographic/GIS concepts, database design principles and
data management principles to ensure best use of organisation and
visualisation of mapping services
• Experienced in ArcGIS
Desktop and Enterprise solutions
• Expertise in
administration and deployment of ArcGIS Enterprise
• Capable
of producing high quality technical documentation including functional
and technical specifications
• Excellent communication,
reporting, presentation, negotiation, and customer facing skills
