  Job Description

As a Summer Intern in our Medical Analytics Team, you will be immersed in both the technical and business aspects of analytics. You’ll get to dig into the data through statistical analysis, modeling, and AI exploration. And you will work closely with our partners across the business to ensure that the analyses and tools you produce are actionable and strategically impactful. You will work with team members with a wide range of skill-sets including NLP, Infrastructure, Business Analytics, and Data Visualization, to see a project from start to completion as an end-to-end analytics process.

  Minimum Qualifications
  • Pursuing a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following: Python, R, Scala.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Must be able to work full-time (35-40 hours/week) throughout the 12 week internship.
  • Must have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a BS or MS degree program. Post-doctoral candidates are not eligible. 
  Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with data modeling and statistical analysis
  • Familiarity with healthcare or pharmaceutical industry
  • Aspirations for a career in the healthcare industry
  • Aptitude for business acumen and strategic thinking
  Eligibility Requirements
  • Must successfully pass a drug screen and background check prior to assignment target start date.

  • While GSK embraces a flexible work environment, we do require certain positions to be onsite.Candidates who are hired for an on-site role and reside outside of 50-miles from their assigned work location are eligible for relocation stipend.
