Garage Supervisor

Full Job Description

Garage Supervisor required in the North Somerset region.

• Negotiable starting salary pending experience.
• 8:00am-5:30pm Monday to Friday with 1 in 2 Saturdays 8:30am-1:00pm paid as overtime. 
• Opportunity to work with a family run garage operating since 1994.

Due to business expansion a not-to-miss opportunity has become available for a Supervisor to join our client's independent automotive garage situated in the North Somerset region.
 
In this role you will report to the Business Owner as well as working alongside three Vehicle Technicians and provide a pro-active service to customers requesting to schedule their vehicles in for service, maintenance or repair work.

Key responsibilities as a Garage Supervisor shall include:

• Welcome customers into the garage and assisting them with their needs.
• Go through work to be carried out on customer's vehicles and pricing the work accordingly.
• Take payment from customers for completed work. 
• Managing a small team of Vehicle Technicians and their schedules.
• Monitor the workshop and keep customers informed of their vehicle's progress. 
• Source and supply parts for the workshop team.
• Competition of all relevant paperwork including returns/credits and MOT administration.
• Oversee the garage in the Business Owner's absence. 
• Other general ad-hoc duties when required.

In order to be eligible you will be able to deliver the very highest level of customer service through strong communication skills resulting in total customer satisfaction. Being a team player, having strong organisational skills, IT literacy, and the drive to lead a team to the best of their capability would also be of high priority. Recent or current experience in a similar role within the automotive industry would be essential to our client at this stage as well as a technical understanding of vehicles and a  UK driving license with minimal points.
