Garment Technologist

Full Job Description

We have partnered with a prestigious luxury Womenswear brand who are seeking a talented Garment Technologist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering impeccably fitted and finished garments to the highest standards. This role requires experience working within a luxury or premium retailer, collaborating closely with the atelier and design team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Expertise on garment construction, pattern technology, and fabric technology.
• Quality and technical control of production prototypes.
• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise the production team, manufacturers and factories.
• Collaborate with Atelier and PD during the production handover process.
• Implement technical processes and Critical Path procedures.
• Establish clear production pattern and grading rules to facilitate a smooth transition into bulk production.
• Produce technical files in illustrator.
• Proofreading and adjusting bills of materials in PLM.
• Offer commercial solutions to challenges as they arise.

Qualifications and experience :

• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar position in the fashion sector
• Experience with woven garments
• Excel and Pack Office
• Strong knowledge of illustrator
• PLM experience is preferred but not essential
