Womenswear Garment Technologist
Location: Manchester, office based
Product Area: Womenswear Supply
Salary to £35 + Bens - depending on experience
We are working with a well-established womenswear supplier based in the North of Manchester town centre ad 2 garment techs to their team. With a client base of fast fashion retailers and working mainly out of the far east this will be two new hires mainly due to high workloads.
DUTIES
· Working closely with Merchandisers, In-House Designers, and suppliers in the far east.
· Leading and organising fit meetings,
· Reviewing and Approving samples of all sampling stages.
· Resolving garment construction, quality issues & potential risks.
· Grading, Pattern review and Fitting,
· Lab reports and Shipment samples approval
· Critical Path management
MUST HAVES TO BE SHORTLISTED
· Recent experience as a womenswear garment technologist with either a womenswear high street supplier to young high streets fashion retailers ( must be over 3 years commercial high street
experience )
· Worked with fast fashion retailers both Bricks and mortar and ECom
· Solid and strong knowledge of garment construction, fit, and pattern making.
· Previous and recent experience creating technical specifications and production documentation.
· First class communication skills (written and verbal)
· Team player but also the ability to work unsupervised and completing tasks to a high quality and to time scales set,
· Solid IT skills in Ms Office
· Commutable to Manchester and eligible to work in the UK for over 5 years.
