General Practice Surveyor (MRICS Qualified) / Senior Surveyor to Director Level

Q: Are you a General Practice Surveyor who would relish the opportunity to work in and around the idyllic Lake District National Park and surrounding areas, in a well-established and highly successful company, and be an active part in its’ future growth?
An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for a General Practice Surveyor to join our clients’ close-knit Cumbrian team. Our client is a highly respected property consultancy, based across both Scotland and England that provides expert professional and agency advice across a whole spectrum of commercial property, throughout Scotland, Cumbria, North Lancashire, the Northeast and Scottish Borders.
The role will principally involve a broad range of agency and commercial valuation and may include other client instructions such as lease consultancy and property management.
The ideal candidate will be a ‘good all-round’ General Practice Surveyor, with some background in Commercial Valuation (Registered Valuer) as well as some experience of commercial agency and areas professional consultancy.
Duties & Responsibilities include a variation of the following:
- Commercial Property Agency – lettings, acquisitions, disposals for clients
- A range of Commercial Valuation work
- Ideally some Lease Consultancy work – rent reviews, lease renewals etc.
- Any other professional experience would be advantageous
Required Skills & Experience

- The successful candidate will be min 3 years MRICS Qualified
- Commercial Valuation – Registered Valuer
- Experience of Commercial Property Agency.
- A high degree of IT literacy is essential.
- Excellent client interfacing, negotiation, and communication skills
- Driving licence essential
- Previous experience within the sector, either consultancy or client-side
- Ability to work on their own initiative and work unsupervised.
- Proven ability to work as part of a team
