Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced General Practitioner (GP) to join our healthcare team in Cardiff on a locum basis, primarily focusing on conducting health assessments. As a Locum GP, you will be responsible for conducting health assessments for a caseload of five patients per day, with a focus on thorough examination, diagnosis, and treatment planning. The role will primarily involve working on Fridays, ensuring continuity of care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive health assessments for patients, including medical history review, physical examination, and diagnostic procedures.
- Provide accurate diagnoses and develop appropriate treatment plans in line with clinical guidelines and best practices.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care and effective coordination of services.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and clinical standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, addressing their concerns, providing health education, and promoting preventive care measures.
- Participate in regular clinical meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

- Medical degree from a recognized institution and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) or equivalent qualification is desirable.
- Proven experience working as a General Practitioner, preferably in primary care or community health settings.
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to conduct thorough health assessments and make evidence-based decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and other relevant clinical software.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and promoting continuous improvement in service delivery.
- Flexibility to work on Fridays on a regular locum basis.
