Geography Teacher

Contract: Full Time

Location: Bedfordshire

We are working closely with a Secondary School situated in a suburb of Bedfordshire, easily accessible from Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire and some parts of Milton Keynes. This is a large Secondary Academy hosting over 1200 pupils and part of a nationwide successful Trust. They are recruiting for a Geography Teacher to fill a gap for the Summer Term, with the view to continue if the school is the right fit.

The role would involve teaching Geography predominantly to Year 7 - Year 11 GCSE classes (KS3/4). A Geography Teacher with at least 1 year experience teaching Geography to GCSE is essential.

Contract

On this full-time contract, you will be treated like a permanent member of staff with access to all CPD opportunities as well as PPA time included on your timetable. You would be expected to plan, mark and deliver Geography lessons to your timetabled devised of KS3 and KS4 classes with PPA time included. You must arrive no later than 8:15am and finish at 15:10pm. 

Pay

You would be paid to the National Teacher Pay Scale salary between M1 - UPS1 on a daily rate equivalent.

The ideal candidate we would like to speak to will possess:

QTS or PGCE Geography Qualification
Geography Teacher with at least 1 years experience teaching up to KS4
Highly knowledgeable in GCSE Geography curriculum
Be passionate about teaching Geography and promoting learning in Geography for excellent results
Good or Outstanding classroom practice with high expectations for achievements and behaviour
Be able to plan and deliver creative and stimulating Geography lessons
