Role Purpose

This role is based in the UK with home based working. We are actively seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to join our esteemed Global Content Development Team. This role offers a unique opportunity for a creative and versatile professional to contribute to the design and development of diverse learning materials. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in crafting public, in-company, and bespoke training programs and courseware for both external and internal clients. Your responsibilities will encompass ensuring the timely and precise development of all courseware, aligning with our business assurance philosophy, brand, methodology, and meeting the specific requirements of our global clientele. #LI-Remote

Key Responsibilities

  • Design engaging public, in-company, and bespoke training programs and courseware for external and internal clients, ensuring alignment with specified standards and timely delivery.
  • Develop a wide range of learning materials, including instructor-led (ILT) and virtual instructor-led training (VILT) courses, blended learning programs, eLearning modules, microlearning, storyboards, scripts, and more.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from Training and Improvement Services across regions and cross-functional teams, actively engaging subject matter experts in the development and maintenance of instructional content.
  • Oversee the translation of projects and collaborate closely with the LMS team to ensure seamless global deployment.
  • Play a crucial role in the deployment of both new and updated courses, ensuring adherence to established standards.
  • Conduct thorough needs analyses, articulate precise learning objectives, and meticulously outline new projects by creating both detailed-level and high-level design plans.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
  • Embrace new technologies, including AI and other digital disruptions, contributing to the evolving landscape of learning and development.
  • Utilise Articulate Storyline for eLearning development, showcasing proficiency in creating dynamic and impactful digital learning experiences.
  • Make recommendations for enhancing existing courseware and refining design processes.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in instructional design preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of instructional design theories and learning methodologies.
  • Proficiency in designing diverse learning materials.
  • Strong project management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage simultaneous projects efficiently, ensuring excellence in design and delivery as an instructional designer.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in both independent work and collaboration within a dynamic team environment.
  • Capability to conduct needs assessments and evaluate learning effectiveness.
  • Expertise in Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, particularly InDesign, is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Fluency in the English language, both written and verbal.
