JOB PURPOSE  

Pepsi Lipton is a joint venture between Unilever and PepsiCo to manufacture and sell RTD ice tea across the world. At 3 Billion Dollars plus of revenue, Pepsi Lipton is the global leader in Iced Tea. It has a broad portfolio of core brands (with Lipton, Pure Leaf, Brisk, each worth over $1 billion in Retail Sales Value) and emerging brands in trending segments like Tazo. Caught in the sweet-spot of macro trends re-shaping the broader liquid refreshment market... Iced Tea is an on-trend, rapidly growing and increasingly competitive refreshment segment. Leveraging our core strengths of Brands, Tea capabilities, GTM advantages and our amazing blend of talented people…Pepsi Lipton will lead for the future of iced tea with an ambitious program to drive hyper-relevance across brand, portfolio, product, channels and geographies.

As a company in its own right, the joint venture has its own board of directors.  As a global organisation the variation in countries, bottlers and manufacturing sites makes this a very exciting place to work. RESPONSIBILITIES  

They will lead

  • Category strategy and Future of Tea innovation strategy for Pepsi Lipton
  • Lipton Masterbrand Equity and Global Communication programmes
  • Strategic Big Bets for the JV (Eg: Sugar reduction program)
     

The role reports into the Head of Global Marketing.

  • Responsibility to sharpen and manage the outlook of total Ice Tea portfolio for Pepsi Lipton
  • Lead Lipton Masterbrand Programs: New positioning and BCI launch, New sensorial Signature, New design ID
  • Lead global led purpose SAY and DO programmes across regions, including partnerships with NGOs, relevant brands, and organizations
  • Strategically shape and advance the category strategy, destination roadmap across brands for the JV including collaborating with regions to land in market
  • Develop total brand benefit platforms, enablers, working closely with the CMO and brand leaders (eg sugar reduction)
  • Partner with the CMO to create the annual plans and creating a clear marketing priorities scorecard
  • Critical partnerships with R&D, Insights, and Regional Marketing teams

ALL ABOUT YOU  

  • Deep experience in brand craftsmanship, positioning, and communications development
  • Demonstrates clear consumer insight, analytical skills, and breakthrough thinking; Ability to turn insights to ideas and growth opportunities
  • Demonstrates high level of creativity and great collaborative relationships with creative and design agency partners
  • A strategic thinker, who has deep understanding of 3 C’s (Consumer, Customer, Competition), trends, practices, information and insights impacting the business, enabling sound decisions to be made. 
  • Proven experience and ability in strategic framing, measurement and operationalization (strategy into action).
  • Skilful at navigating a complex, matrix dual-company organisation to drive clarity, alignment and accountability
  • Core aspects underpinning all skills: Leadership, Proactivity, Curiosity, Ability to challenge the status quo, Creativity, Obsession with brands & consumers
  • Capability in development of strategic documents and decks, and stakeholder influencing
  • Proven leadership experience in regional or global brand management roles
  • Confident leader who has strategic influencing skills to drive teamwork and alignment with cross-functional/cross-divisional/ agency teams and senior stakeholders
  • Experienced level: project management, leading agencies, strategic data analysis, brand performance tracking & management
  • Adept at working in an international environment
  • Solid presentation, “sell-in” and clear communication skills
