GSA is part of Group Chief Operation Office (COO) which acts as the bridge between the Bank's businesses and infrastructure functions to help deliver the efficiency, control, and transformation goals of the Bank.

The Control Strats team has an ongoing mandate to improve, enhance, and support the Bank's effort to meet regulatory expectations for controls, including Model Risk Controls, Valuation Controls, Trading Controls and Client Controls.

You will work in the Control Strats Team implementing effective and efficient front to back control frameworks for the trading businesses, with a focus on Model Inventory which is being built to master model data for all regions and model types.

Your key responsibilities
  • Migrating functionality and data from legacy systems to strategic Model Inventory solution
  • Enhancing the UI, workflow and developing an alerting capability for Model Inventory and integrating with risk data
  • Engage with stakeholders and the Bank's strategic system (Kannon)
  • Build processes to make deployment and releases more efficient
Your skills and experience
  • Good computing and programming (coding) skills and experience (including recent) of programming languages, such as Python and C++, as well as standard development tools (such as GitHub, Bitbucket)
  • Experience in developing UI;s - HyperText Markup Language (HTML), Typescript, React, AngularJS and Flask
  • Quantitative development and modelling experience in the financial service sector is advantageous
  • Experience of workflows, Kotlin and Docker are an advantage
  • Ability to communicate effectively across multiple teams and functions
