Job Summary

As an HR Business Advisor (HRBA) Team Lead, you will manage a team of HR Business Advisors who support Senior Leaders and Leaders in the Global Technology businesses. You will report to the UK & Poland Head of the HR Business Advisor Organization, while still partnering and supporting clients in the Global Technology organization. You will be a part of the management structure overseeing the direction and overall management of their Line of Business (LOB) HR Business Advisors. Working in close partnership with HRBA colleagues to support the respective businesses people agendas. 

Job responsibilities

  • HR Business Advisor  - In line with the HRBA Core Services, you will support a portfolio of clients within your aligned LOB or corporate/firm wide function. Key priorities include day-to-day strategic guidance on human capital matters, talent management, compensation, performance development, workforce planning, leader coaching.
  • People Management  - You will lead and manage a broad group of HRBAs in a matrixed environment
  • Relationship Management  - You will act as a relationship manager for aligned HRBAs in their LOB, responsible for escalation of significant issues or trends impacting the business or team, liase with counterparts across other LOBs/regions/countries to share best practices, align on cross-firm initiatives to share/leverage resources as needed and Collaborate with HR specialist functions (Development, Compensation, Recruitment, etc.)
  • Resource Management-  You will manage hiring, onboarding, training and ongoing performance development for the team, resource allocation and alignment, engage key stakeholders related to organizational and HRBA alignment decisions
  • Team development-  You will drive focus on individual and team development through formal training, project exposure, mobility and ad hoc assignments, mentor, coach and develop HRBA team members
  • Process optimization  - You will drive cross LOB/Function/region/country initiatives that benefit from centralization and reduction of duplication of effort

Required qualifications, capabilities, and Skills 

  • Exceptional people manager or culture carrier focused on people development and resource optimization
  • Able to operate in a highly matrixed environment and across all levels of the organization
  • Solid relationship management skills and ability to navigate across the function and the firm
  • Exceptional communication skills; able to present and articulate trends leveraging analytics and reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast paced, collaborative, team-based culture and leverage matrixed organization to problem solve, design and execute people priorities
  • Able to partner with colleagues to influence broader HR strategies and practices for the benefit of the organization
  • Ability to drive change across multiple stakeholders and within the HR Business Advisor team

Preferred Qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Knowledge of range of people practices in a business setting: goal setting, performance assessment and improvement, compensation practices, talent review and talent management, workforce planning, reductions in force, manager development
  • Excellent leadership an skills; providing direction, coaching and ongoing performance feedback
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders globally, establish trust and teamwork across teams in various regions, strong collaboration, partnership and influencing skills
  • Exceptional analytical capabilities, ability to synthesize data sets and identify key themes, propose solutions (comfortable working from a top down and bottom up perspective)
