We are recruiting for a Goods In Stores Operative for a global manufacturing company in Lymington, Hampshire.
The company is a family owned/run business that produces innovative Tapes and Sealants that are supplied to some of the world’s biggest names in the construction industry.
For 50 years they have been designing, engineering and producing tapes that have found their way around the world from the manufacturing and sales HQ in Lymington. Continuous development in Research and Design and manufacturing technologies keeps us at the forefront of tapes technology.
Salary: £11.53 raising to £12.11 on completion of training. Occasional overtime at x1.5 available.
Hours: 3-week rotating pattern, however for training purposes this will be done on the day shift:
Week 1:
Mon – Thurs
06:00-14:00 Fri 06:00-11:00
Week 2:
Mon –
Thurs 08:00-16:00 Fri 08:00-13:00
Week 3:
Mon – Thurs 14:00-22:00 Fri 11:00-16:00
The Role:
- Provision of service in Goods Out to enable goods to be distributed to fulfil the requirements of the customer base.
- Ensure that finished goods are picked and prepared for dispatch in a timely and accurate way.
- Communicating with the Goods Out supervisor or Production Managers about any issues that may compromise the service we provide.
- Loading both customer arranged vehicles and vehicles
Responsibilities and activities:
- Receive deliveries of finished goods pallets. Check quantities, record receipt and pass on any paperwork to the Goods Out Supervisor.
- Accepting goods safely into the department and storing them correctly, using fork lift equipment as necessary
- Maintaining the locations specifications electronically
- To ensure a minimum stock accuracy of 98% and the pursue 100% stock
- accuracy within the stores area at all times
- Maintaining exceptional housekeeping, security and Health & Safety at all times.
- Correctly and efficiently using the handover sheets.
- To work efficiently and effectively as part of a team.
- Carry out other duties as needed from time to time in other departments.
Personal Specification:
- Counter Balance licence (Reach is desirable)
- GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
- Ability to interpret detailed work orders, works-to lists and onsite procedures
