Role Summary
A supporting-level team member who consistently applies product marketing capabilities, principles and playbooks to solve business issues and opportunities, with close supervisory review.

Education
• Demonstrates an understanding of how to drive product positioning and marketing.
Bachelor's or equivalent experience

• Able to articulate concepts and ideas to inform stakeholders.
Role Expectations
• Understand and use the audience segmentation and personas.
• Assists collaboration with their product and marketing stakeholders to identify KPI and success metrics for the portfolio and initiatives they're assigned.
• Assists in the development of the go-to-market strategy and plans based on business goals, product readiness, and positioning.
• Supports integrated marketing and channels to define and execute campaigns strategy and plans.
• Supports market and internal readiness, in coordination with product and sales and support teams.
• Develops an understanding of trends in customer’s consumption habits.
• Begins developing understanding of the market and customer preferences and purchasing habits.
• May assist in gathering information used to conduct an appraisal of new product ideas.
• Gathers and assists in analyzing relevant data on competitors.
• Supports analysis of existing data and insights to identify research needed to validate positioning and messaging across segments.
• Develops understanding of how to create messages and positioning that resonates with audience/segments to drive buying behaviors.
• Develops basic information about the users and values of the company’s products/offerings.
• Begins to develop understanding of product marketing frameworks and how to structure marketing briefs.
• Demonstrates basic understanding of key terminology and key performance indicators in the industry.
• Researches industry information and summarizes findings.
• Recognizes different industry best practices, products and services and begins to understand how they are applied.
• Develops understanding of standard offerings and major areas of expertise.
• Builds a working knowledge of products, technologies, offerings, etc. within scope of responsibility.
• Develops a broad understanding of competitors’ standard products and services.
• Acquires a basic understanding of product components, design, features and benefits and provides basic information about the product.
• Acquires a basic understanding of customer and partner audience to validate communication plans and strategies.
• Assists with compilation of information for use across pitch decks and other content.
• Supports development of project and review timelines.
• May gather assets for product bill of materials and internal readiness materials.
• Gathers relevant information to communicate basic concepts clearly.
• Supports development of draft communication plan with timing and initial drafts of communication materials.
• Uses appropriate tools/software to develop communications and presentations.
• Learns data analysis methods and procedures by assisting others in the collection and analysis of data.
