Full Job Description

Contract:        18 months Fixed Term 

As a Group Facilitator you will deliver a Respect Accredited, structured programme-based intervention to both male and female perpetrators of domestic abuse, assessed at standard or medium risk, who have acknowledged their behaviour and demonstrated a desire to change. 

Working alongside dedicated Partner Support Workers, you will work to ensure the safety of survivors and their children. You will deliver a programme that aims to hold perpetrators of domestic abuse to account, support individuals to reduce incidents of abuse and help develop skills and strategies to engage in healthy, non-abusive relationships.  You will undertake group and one to one work with clients (perpetrators) who have chosen to attend the Changes Project. 

We are looking for individuals who are able to work empathetically and within strict professional boundaries, and are committed to building strong relationships with a wide range of professional agencies. You will have substantial experience of working with individuals and families who have experienced domestic abuse; and be able to demonstrate your understanding of the impact domestic abuse can have on the lives of those who experience it. You will have demonstrable experience of carrying out risk assessments and a good working knowledge of safeguarding and the range of statutory and voluntary agencies responding to the needs of those at risk from domestic abuse. It is essential for this role that you have a valid UK driving licence and unrestricted access to a vehicle as the programme will be delivered at locations across the county in partnership with the Elm Foundation. 

Training from RESPECT will be provided as part of this role. 

Working Pattern: 

Monday to Friday – please note some evening work will be required up to 8:30pm (maximum 2 days) to enable access to groups. This is a job share for 16 hours per week, the exact working pattern is to be agreed.
