Job Title:

HR & Development Administrator

Reports To:

HR & Development Manager – Bury Site 

Summary:

  • To provide first line support for HR & Development across site. Ensuring relevant systems are up to date and accurate at all times.
  • Administrative support to Bury HR Team, for employee correspondence, ER cases and training. With additional support to site Health & Safety and Compliance Trainer
  • Support the wider HR team to ensure all policies and processes are documented and updated when required
  • Support with ad-hoc projects

Overview of role:

 

HR

  • Daily interface with line managers, guiding and advising them accordingly, specifically on any employee relation matters.
  • Challenge the status quo and drive improvements for the site HR functionality and key stakeholders.
  • Ensuring GDPR compliance with HR records electronic and paper relating to Bury based employees including: employee changes contractual and other; recruitment; starter and leaver processing, HRIS input, contract administration, locker, uniform, PPE and IT checks; letters and other records, ensure that all employee data held in the systems as well as on the employee HR file is accurate and up to date. Processing changes to employment records and leavers promptly, ensuring other key stakeholders are aware of changes in the business.
  • Ensure ER records in the HR system are maintained and that reports regarding ER issues are produced for the wider HR team.
  • Provide support for the co-ordination of the starters, movers, and leavers processes. Complete new starter one month meetings and exit interviews for joiners and leavers.
  • Support the deployment of company policies and procedures maintaining legal compliance.
  • Supporting the HR Advisor with managing scheduling of Occupational Health & Physio appointments as advised, supporting associated communications and reports.
  • Manages professional and timely induction and related onboarding activity along with supporting additional training (see below)
  • Ensures professional and appropriate support to the site leadership team and HR team regarding site visits, hospitality and PPE as directed by the HRA.
  • Provided professional admin support to the day to day running of the department ( Raising purchase orders, maintaining fire registers, daily post activities) 
  • Ensuring effective communications within HR and the site including issues All Bury communications as delegated and ensuring also copied on noticeboards which are kept updated regularly; administration support for briefing and the employee reward and recognition awards.
  • Support other duties and projects as may be delegated e.g. EES, Charity, Christmas activities and other site events.
  • Support the general HR & Development function and cover other support roles in HR when needed.

 Development

  • Co-ordinate organizing, booking, and delivering regular inductions and training as well as assist with the creation of training materials and tools.
  • Ensure all training materials are up to date and prepared prior to deliver of training and assist with the logistics of training including room bookings and equipment set-up.
  • Support the Health & Safety and Compliance trainer with holiday cover, additional workload and projects to support the compliance across site.
  • Set up and assist new starters with mandatory eLearning modules.

Skills, Knowledge, Experience

Essential or Desirable

CIPD/Degree Qualified or working towards Certificate in HR

At least 2 years` experience in HR and/or Training

Experience of employee related matters and excellent knowledge of HR Policies, best practices and up to date employment legislation E
Understand confidentiality and personal integrity when dealing with sensitive employee data and information. E
