The Company
As a genuine market leader in their specific field of
logistics and transportation, this long standing and highly successful
third-party logistics and transportation business has been going
through a sustained period of sales growth and expansion. As such they
now wish to appoint an experienced and capable HR Manager who can
create, implement and manage defined and robust HR systems and process
and be the business lead in terms of all aspects of employee related
matters across their busy multi-site operation.
The
Role
Due to extensive growth and ongoing new business
acquisition, the company has grown to over 200+ employees with further
growth on a sizeable scale upcoming over the next 12-18 months. With
the business now entering this new stage of growth and with ongoing
recruitment activity planned, the acquisition, retention and
development of staff will be key and so the Human Resources Manager
will be key to this.
As a key part of the SLT, the HR Lead will
devise and implement professional and robust HR practices and policies
and support the leadership and management teams in managing all
aspects of employee engagement, recruitment, process adherence and
operational HR across all levels of the organisation from the shop
floor to the experienced technical engineering
staff.
The Person
As an experienced and
qualified HR professional, you will be key to the development and
implementation of process and policy as well as supporting the staff
and being the champion of learning and development across the multiple
sites and their employees. You will have a background in Manufacturing
/ Engineering / 3PL or Transportation and will be experienced in the
engagement of employees at all levels from the warehouse to the board
room. You will be people orientated, dynamic and be visible across the
business to inspire best in practice across all aspects of the
organisation.
