Job title: HR Recruitment Apprentice

Department: People

Location: Halifax / Hybrid

Hours: 37.5hrs per week (core hours 10am-4pm)

Salary: £18,000 per annum, plus £500 bonus after successful first year.

About the role

If you’ve got a passion for people and are looking to start your career in HR and Recruitment, then we have a great opportunity for you!

We’re hiring an HR Recruitment apprentice to join the People team at our Halifax Office. We will be teaming up with an excellent training provider to develop a great apprenticeship programme that will be the perfect stepping stone into your HR career.

You will be involved in supporting will support the People Team and help to provide great recruitment, onboarding and administrative support across the group. You will get involved with a wide range of HR responsibilities including recruitment and administration, learning and development, employee relations and HR systems.

Key responsibilities

• Work with your People team colleagues across Activate Group to provide best practice recruitment support to all team members.
• Support with updating and maintaining HR data and systems.
• Support with internal people administration processes, including: new starters/onboarding, pre-employment checks, terms and conditions changes, maternity, paternity and leavers.
• Support with data gathering, analysis and reporting.
• Support all recruitment activity for our bodyshops, contact centres and wider Group roles ensuring all areas are fully resourced and ongoing recruitment is managed appropriately.
• Assist with the recruitment and selection processes by effectively liaising with managers and candidates.
• Support high volume recruitment campaigns for our bodyshops and contact centres.
• Monitor responses/applications received and make sure that candidate applications are processed efficiently.
• Shortlist and present suitably qualified applicants against defined job vacancies.
• Support attraction events such career fairs, school careers services and apprentice and training provider events.
• Get involved in People Team projects as needed, including engagement initiatives.

• Good communication skills, with excellent attention to detail
• Solution-orientated.
• Ability to use your initiative to problem solve and get to the bottom of an issue.
