THE ROLE

BBC Studios Productions are a world-beating global, commercial studio of critically acclaimed and publicly adored labels, owned indies and partners, building on 100 years of legacy at the BBC. BBC Studios Productions benefits from a diversified portfolio across all genres – world-class capabilities in Scripted, Factual, Global Formats and Kids & Family. We are a global creative powerhouse for the development, production and distribution of bold, British, content. 

We are looking for a HR Specialist to work support the Production team. This role will partner closely the Production HRBPs, HR Specialists and business leaders to deliver our people strategy. 

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Business Partnering: Effective business partnering with leaders across the Production function; supporting the HRBP to create and deliver functional people plans in line with our HR and business strategy. Develop and implement solutions to support organisational effectiveness and people experience.  
  • Culture: Support engagement initiatives and programmes of activity to foster a positive organisational culture. 
  • Talent: Support all talent activities within the Production function; leading talent review processes, partnering with HR CoEs to deliver against talent acquisition and development requirements.
  • Employee Relations: Execution of transformation initiatives and projects within the Production team; build leadership capability and confidence in managing ER processes, and support smooth running of ER processes in partnership with BBC Employee Relations support team. 
  • Data & Insights: Effective use of data points to share insight with the HRBP and business leaders. Thought leadership to identify opportunity areas and to create and implement solutions to address these.
  • Reward & Governance: Support annual reward cycle working closely with the HRBPs and Reward Team, own the pay governance process and support the Talent Acquisition team with the offers. Lead on international mobility cases across the Corporate functions, working with BBC Global Mobility team, the business area and HRBP. 
WHAT DOES IT TAKE?
  • Experience of partnering with senior stakeholders, either in a generalist HR or centre of excellence capacity.
  • Experience of autonomously advising on, and managing employee relations and talent processes. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders, deploying influencing skills when necessary. 
  • Strong analytical skills and proven ability to diagnose opportunities and create solutions. 
  • Proven ability to effectively manage HR project work and to deliver through others. 
  • Experience of working in a commercial and matrixed environment would be beneficial.
  • Experience of building commercial awareness. 
  • Comfortable with thinking outside of the box and challenging the status quo.
  • Autonomous and proactive thinker, with the ability to operate at pace.
PACKAGE DESCRIPTION

Job Reference: 13314
Band: D
Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience.
The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: London - Television Centre

Working Pattern: Hybrid Working (Mix of working from home plus two/three days a week in the office).
