Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced HR and Recruitment Assistant to work with a Local Authority based in the Stockton on Tees are on a temporary basis. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week on an initial six month contract.
Main Duties:
- Assist in the delivery of transactional HR and Recruitment matters.
- Ensure thatthe service is provided to a high standard and in a timely manner to meet legislative requirement.
- To be responsible for administering a range of recruitment tasks which will vary across local authorities, schools and academies.
- Ensure that any requests for advertising received from schools and academies are correctly authorised,advertising any vacancies using approved sites.
- Preparingand issuing relevant employment correspondence to successful candidates including offer letters and contracts of employment within legal guidelines and timescales.
- Administration of relevant pre-employment checks.
- To assist in the production of Contracts of Employment and variations to contracts, ensuring they are produced in accordance with legislative and company requirements.
Essential Criteria:
- Knowledge of various terms and conditions of employment and multiple processes and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work proactively with a range of internal and external customers.
- Able to manage conflicting priorities and have excellent time management skills, working to strict deadlines.
- Relevant CIPP/CIPD qualification or equivalent level of experience
- GCSE Level A-C including English and Mathematics, or equivalent.
