Full Job Description

Join us in a dynamic role where you will lead the development, agreement, delivery, and optimization of a strategic roadmap for establishing an industry-best Group and business-level Balance Sheet Forecasting capability. As the Head of Group Balance Sheet Forecasting , you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our financial planning initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Strategy:

  • Define industry best practices and benchmarks for Balance Sheet Forecasting.
  • Obtain sponsorship from the GCFO Management Team to drive initiative objectives.
  • Collaborate with Treasury, GFP&A, and Business Finance to establish a shared vision and milestones.

Business:

  • Translate financial and business performance drivers into actionable analytics.
  • Challenge business assumptions from an external analyst perspective.
  • Execute a clear Global Balance Sheet Forecasting operating model.

Processes:

  • Drive process excellence, embedding Finance Operations strategy.
  • Establish a control framework, ensuring compliance with governance policies.
  • Regularly benchmark process capabilities against industry best practices.

People & Talent:

  • Act as an evangelist for Balance Sheet Forecasting within Group Finance.
  • Establish a network and lead a community of practice within GCFO areas.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, empowerment, and career growth.

Risk Management:

  • Ensure understanding and compliance with risk management requirements.
  • Drive a culture of controls evidence and challenge, ensuring clear processes.
  • Mitigate external risk through control, education, and remediation mechanisms.

Governance:

  • Own understanding and compliance with Balance Sheet Forecasting governance processes.
  • Demonstrate awareness of Group policies, regulatory frameworks, and expectations.

Regulatory & Business Conduct:

  • Display exemplary conduct, adhering to the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding high ethical standards and compliance.

Key Stakeholders:

  • Group Treasury Management Team
  • Group Finance Leadership Forum
  • Business & Country CFOs
  • Key business colleagues including FRM, CPM
  • Other members of Group FP&A and Capital teams

Ideal Candidate:

  • University degree in a relevant field.
  • Chartered Financial Analyst or accounting qualification preferred.   
  • Experience in financial services
  • High standard of written English with excellent communication skills.
