Role: Head Chef

Salary: 35-40k

Hours: Full time (12-9pm straight shifts)

Location: Cardiff 

We're working with one of Cardiff’s most well-known and long standing establishments who are going through some planned expansion to their Restaurant group, and we need a highly motivated professional to join them!

Our client is looking for a dynamic Head Chef to lead a thriving kitchen to deliver a 5* dining experience for their customers.

As Head Chef you will:

• Lead and manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support
• Plan and develop menus 
• Oversee food preparation and ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards
• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain efficient kitchen operations
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen
• Collaborate with restaurant management to develop new recipes and seasonal specials
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
• Manage food costs by minimizing waste and implementing cost-saving measures

Experience:

• Proven experience working as a Head Chef or Sous Chef
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, flavors, and presentation
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff and management
