Our clients farmshop and Cafe is set in the beautiful country village of Farthinghoe, Northamptonshire. Close to the towns of Brackley, Bicester, Banbury and Middleton Cheney and with excellent transport links.

Open 7 days a week and you would be contracted for 40 hours a week. Some weekend working is essential and the occasional evening (events only) but you will get weekends rota'd off in line with the other team members.

We are expanding and looking for talented and enthusiastic team members to help us take our business to the next level. There are some exciting opportunities coming up in the next few months, into the summer and next year either with our catering units, our large scale kitchen & catering facility or building up the Cafe & Farmshop. This is a great opportunity for you to take ownership of the kitchen and help drive the business forward.

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team. The Head Chef will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production, and leading the culinary team to success. The successful candidate will also guide and support the management team with business strategy.

**Responsibilities:**

- Oversee all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation

- Develop and create new menu items in collaboration with the management team

- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards

- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and procedures

- Manage inventory levels and control food costs

- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

- Collaborate with management to plan and execute special events or promotions

**Skills:**

- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a restaurant setting

- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food production, and kitchen management

- Excellent leadership and communication skills

- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

- Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices

- Creative flair for developing innovative dishes while maintaining quality standard
