Head of Legal - Real Estate Birmingham


We are working exclusively with an ambitious, dynamic real estate business as they look to hire a Head of Legal to drive process, lead projects and act as a true Board adviser.


As a leading investor and asset manager with a focus on the Midlands and surrounding regions, you will provide legal guidance and commercial support on some of the regions most interesting property projects covering a variety of asset classes and sectors.



A diverse portfolio of industrial, residential, student accommodation and mixed use offers variety and complexity and you will enjoy taking the lead on projects, protecting the business, driving revenue and scaling an appropriate in-house function.

Additionally you will manage external advisers and lawyers ensuring value for money and top service on some of their more complex and specialist work.



You will have a strong real estate background, technically strong with experience and exposure of advising clients on range of matters including investment, development, L&T, property finance etc, additional appreciation of planning, property litigation and construction would also be useful.

This is an ideal role for a natural problem solver who enjoys giving commercial, pragmatic advice, solutions focused with a robust approach. You will be comfortable leading on complex transactions and enjoy the challenge.

The team are driven, with a focus on quality and you will hungry to stamp your mark in the thriving Midlands property scene.

Ideal step for a private practice senior or principal associate / legal director (6+ PQE) keen to move in-house as a Head of Legal and develop with the business. Or possibly a current in-house property specialist looking for a faster pace and more influence to create and add value

Birmingham city centre base (hybrid working 3-4 days in the office to build that culture and stamp your mark)

Salary £85,000 - £100,000 basic DOE plus bonus and benefits.
