Head of Middle Office (Commodities) - Global Hedge Fund - Large comp package

A global, multi billion dollar AUM Hedge Fund, expanding its relatively new but super-successful commodities business, are looking to hire a London based Head of Middle Office.

As the team is fairly new, initially the hire will have to perform some hands-on work. However the intention is for the London MO team to be at 4/5 headcount by the end of the year.

The middle office remit combines operations (recs and settlements oversight), TA (trade bookings, trade capture, resolving breaks, execution oversight etc), risk + P&L (reporting, analysis etc.) responsibilities. Naturally, infrastructure buildout + strategy are key to the role, working closely to global business heads and the commodities investment team. The role will expand to a global remit as the firm's commodity business builds out in other international locations.

Candidates must come from a commodity / energy specialist background. The ideal candidate will have both established hands-on + supervisory experience in commodity operations / middle office. We are open to hedge fund, IB and commodity trading house candidates.

As this is a crucial hire, my client has not set a salary band, however they are committed to offering a 20%+ increase on current base and paying a strong performer a 50-100% bonus potential.
