About the role
ENGIE are recruiting for a Head of Procurement based in Leeds or Newcastle This is a Permanent role , working Full Time Monday to Friday. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.
Key Responsibilities
- To build and manage a team responsible for the Procurement activities of the UK including Pumped Storage, Batteries, Renewables, and Biomethane.
- Develop an engaging and unifying vision on Procurement which is sustainable, efficient and meeting the needs of your internal and external stakeholders.
- Responsibility for putting in place and leading a strong Procurement organization in which people are developed to the best of their capabilities and knowledge.
- Support in negotiations with suppliers and participate in evaluations of strategic and preferred suppliers
- You are part of the ENGIE procurement world and will develop and maintain close collaboration with procurement departments of other Countries and ENGIE group.
- Act as a senior member of the UK Finance & Procurement Team with specific responsibility for supporting UK growth ambitions.
Key Requirements
- Extensive experience, preferably in an industrial sector in a procurement capacity
- Experience of proven Procurement Processes & Tools
- You are fluent in English and ideally French
- Proven ability to produce work under tight deadlines
- Demonstrated practical approach to problem solving · Able to manage conflicting priorities
- Degree level or equivalent, ideally in Engineering or Economics
- CIPS Level 6 Professional Diploma
